Michigan Education Association endorses Lisa McIntyre for state Representative

Northville, MI — Lisa McIntyre today issued the following statement after receiving the endorsement of the Michigan Education Association (MEA) in the race for Michigan House District 22. 

“The Michigan Education Association proudly supports Lisa McIntyre for Michigan House District 22," said Seth Furlow, Michigan Education Association, UniServ Director Region 2A. "As a dedicated school board trustee, Lisa has demonstrated a clear commitment to strengthening public education, supporting educators, and putting students first. Her firsthand experience and steady leadership make her a powerful advocate for Michigan’s schools and communities."

MEA's Region 2-A Screening and Recommendation Committee voted to recommend to members that Lisa McIntyre be elected as the representative for Michigan House District 22.  Recommendation decisions are made by those local committees based on candidates’ positions on education and labor issues. MEA’s endorsements are awarded to candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to public education and the well-being of Michigan’s working families.
