What’s at Stake for House District 22 on November 3, 2026

Families and small businesses in Northville, Plymouth, and Livonia deserve a representative who really knows this community; someone who will fight to bring resources home and use taxpayer dollars wisely.

That means securing fair state funding for local services, investing in public education, and lowering health care costs while protecting patients, families, and workers. Guided by fiscal discipline and a commitment to results, Lisa will fight for policies that build a stronger, healthier, and more prosperous Michigan for the next generation.

Lisa’s approach to public policy
is simple:

  • Make life more affordable

  • Strengthen our public schools

  • Protect clean air and water

  • Ensure everyone has access to quality, affordable health care.

Decades of Leadership

A Proven Leader

As former Board President, Lisa has led one of Michigan’s top school districts with integrity, accountability, and a clear focus on student success. She has prioritized student wellness, staff support, and long-term stability all while protecting public dollars and building trust

Rooted in Community

Her family chose Northville over a decade ago for the same reasons many others do — strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and a true sense of community.

The McIntyres also have deep roots nearby in Livonia, where Grandpa McIntyre grew up and attended Bentley High School.

Mental Health Champion

Lisa has spent her career helping families find stability, strength, and support through life’s most difficult challenges.

Her grandfather’s recovery showed her the power of care. Her life’s work has been to make sure others have that same chance.

Strengthening Education in Michigan

As a former School Board President, Lisa knows strong public schools are the foundation of our economy.

In Lansing, Lisa will ensure every school has efficient, targeted funding so students and teachers have the resources to deliver a high-quality education. She supports better teacher pay, fair retirement policies, and funding for STEAM and vocational programs that prepare kids for the modern workforce. Prioritizing tax dollars in the classroom—rather than growing administrative bureaucracy—is key to strengthening our future. Lisa will also champion mental health support to ensure our students are safe and ready to learn.

By focusing on results and sharing best practices statewide, Lisa will keep Michigan schools moving forward.

A Healthy Michigan

No family should face bankruptcy because of healthcare costs or see a child’s mental health go untreated.

In Lansing - Lisa will fight to lower prescription drug costs by cutting red tape that keeps prices high.   She will push for fair wages and safe working conditions for nurses and direct care providers – the backbone of our system – ensuring tax dollars support frontline care. Lisa will also champion price transparency for hospitals and insurers to stop unjustified rate hikes.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Lisa knows mental health care is essential. She will incentivize training for new providers and ensure fair licensing for professionals.  Lisa will work to make Michigan’s healthcare system affordable, transparent, and accessible for all.

Responsible Investment in Local Priorities

One of Lisa’s top priorities is protecting our quality of life by securing our fair share of state funding for high quality public education, access to affordable health care and fixing critical infrastructure.

Families and small businesses in Northville, Plymouth, and Livonia deserve a representative who is diligent about bringing resources back home.

With the fiscal discipline Lisa gained on the Northville School Board, she will ensure every state dollar is used for essential services.  By focusing on responsible stewardship of precious resources, we will build a stronger future for the next generation and ensure our community is a premier place to live, work, and raise a family.
